Player Evaluations: Suited 5:30, Farm 6:30 PM

Peanut and Tee-Ball players: (4 - 8 year olds)
There are not any player evaluations for the younger age groups so ignore this.

Suited and Farm players (8 - 12 year olds)
Any player who is registering at a higher level this year than they played in the Spring 2019 last year, or any player who did not play in Champaign East last year, needs to attend the player evaluation day. Players should bring gloves, tennis shoes (no cleats) and a USA-approved bat.

Player evaluations will be on Monday, March 9 at "The Cage" an indoor baseball facility. The address of The Cage is 2112 Sangamon Dr, Champaign, IL 61821.
Suited Evaluations: Check-in between 5:00-5:30 PM. Evaluations done by 6:20 PM
Farm Evaluations: Check-in between 6:00-6:30 PM. Evaluations done by 7:20 PM

After evaluations, players will be drafted onto teams. You will be contacted by your team's coach after that time. March 30 is the earliest for any practices. Our expectation is that games begin on Mon. April 20 for Suited and Farm. The season will be finished by the end of June.

General Information about player evaluations
All players who wish to play little league baseball will be placed on a little league team. There are some guidelines that league officials will use for placing either older players with younger leagues or younger players with older leagues. For the purposes of the discussion below a players "age" is the age they are as of August 31, 2020. For example, if your child is presently 9 years-old, but their birthday is in July 2020, then they are considered "10" for the purposes of the discussion below.

Most kids age 8 will play in Peanut
Most kids ages 9 and 10 will play in Farm
Most kids ages 11 and 12 will play in Suited

An 8 year-old evaluated to play in Farm may be placed on a Farm team or they may be asked to play in Peanut league another year. This determination will be made after evaluations.
All 9 and 10 year-olds evaluated who wishes to play in Farm will be placed on a Farm team. If a 9 or 10 year-old is new to baseball or wishes to play in Peanut another year, please contact the league president ([email protected])

A 10 or 11 year-old evaluated who wishes to play in Suited may be placed on a Suited team or they may be asked to play in Farm league another year. This determination will be made after evaluations
All 12 year-old evaluated for Suited will be placed on a Suited team. If a 12 year-old wants to play Farm, please contact the league president ([email protected]).
